AS BREAD THAT IS BROKEN?

(Rania Samir just reminded me of that book that I once read and liked but almost forgot: "As bead that is broken", and what remained in me yet is the title)
Perseverant... Perseverant... Perseverant...
This word Oh God can't stop germing in me.. opening my heart.. opening my fountains.. opening my lips to sing Your praise!

Perseverant are you God
And Perseverant is Your love

Perseverant is Your love to human beings
That not only You once created them
But You don’t stop to create them
You don’t stop to create by them
You don’t stop to re-create them

Perseverant is Your love to human beings
That you chose to dwell in their hearts
And it pleased to you to live there
Although Heaven and Earth can’t contain your glory

Perseverant is Your daily love given to us
Slowly
Surely
Mysteriously
But continuously
Our daily bread You give us
And…
“As bread that is broken, You give yourself to us”
Yourself? Your Son? Your body? Your all? Your symbols? I don’t know

This bread doesn’t cease to be broken
It doesn’t stop to proliferate
As a nuclear reaction,
As life that is bursting in all creatures
And as we are becoming bread too
And as we are given to each other

God I have never seen You
I have never been sure about Your name
I have no evidence about your Son’s nature or reality
But I see the bread
I see it physically and mystically
On altars of stone
And altars of flesh
I eat it
And I become slowly…
Bread that is broken
As perseverant as you are
Let me be
So that your bread keeps being broken
And your love keeps being shared
With the gifts of bread and wine, body and blood, life and suffering,
