Week 1: 12-18 July, 03
HOW SHALL I CALL MY LORD?
Why don't we begin at the very beginning with this practice suggested by John Veltri s.j. in "Orientations for spiritual growth" . In one of the exercises, Veltri suggests to spend some time trying to find the most appropriate name to use in calling God. The name is more than just a tool to call, it reflects my spiritual disposition, my state, my mood, my perception to God and my feelings towards him in the current period.
So, why don’t we practice a quasi-charismatic prayer of the name? Let’s just mention (a) name(s) for God, and keep trying to repeat them, change them, update them. Let’s see what this will do to us and our prayer at the end of the following week.

Let's ask for guidance
Dear friends, I invite you all to ask the Holy Spirit to help us to pray, and guide us throught this new and apparently tricky method of shared prayer.
It may be easily transformed into a public "gallery" where we try to impress ourselves, impress each other or impress the public. We can't ignore the "public" aspect of this page, but we can ask God to make this particular difficulty a reason to glorify His Name and transfigure His Love.
Please feel free to let The Holy Spirit guide you and let you express whatever you want in any way.
This is a new idea and anything may be appropriate as long as it is true.
